He holds a BSc in Chemistry, an MSc in Physical Chemistry, and a PhD in Atmospheric Science, all earned from the University of Leicester. During his PhD, Marios focused on assessing the impact of regional and local air pollution in East Asia using dispersion and chemistry box models.
He worked as a Research Associate at the University of Leicester, where he participated in diverse projects in environmental health science and space science. He contributed to studies investigating the health impacts of air pollution while exercising on individuals with long-term health conditions and he was involved in space projects, exploring future air quality and climate satellite mission technology.
