The Association ‘Friends of The Cyprus Institute’ was established in 2015 with the mission to support and promote the Institute’s research and educational activities, as well as to raise awareness among the society, in Cyprus and abroad, on the scientific achievements of the Institute.
In support of the Institute’s vision to conduct internationally competitive research aiming to help transform Cyprus into a knowledge-based economy, and in doing so to advance the welfare of the island and the region, the Association has undertaken numerous activities.
Working closely with the Institute’s Board of Trustees, Management and Staff, the Association works to create ties and help strengthen links with other research and educational institutions, scientific and technological organisations and governmental departments, both locally and internationally. The Association also organises lectures and other public events aiming to disseminate the Institute’s scientific work to the wider public.

The members of the Association enjoy numerous special events, most of which are free of charge, such as attending special lectures organised only for the members, private tours to exhibitions organised by or with the involvement of The Cyprus Institute and other VIP events.
