Eirini Chrysanthou is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute, where she is engaged in the ISMED-CLIM praoject, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. ISMED-CLIM stands for "Innovative Solutions across the Mediterranean for mitigation of Climate change-related health risks and enhancing health system resilience." She completed her PhD in Complex Systems in Quantitative Biomedicine at the University of Turin, Italy, with her research funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions within the CANCERPREV project, focusing on the discovery of sex-specific survival biomarkers in early-stage melanoma.
 
In her current role, Eirini aims to understand and address the interplay between climate change and vector-borne diseases in the Mediterranean region. Her expertise in biostatistics and bioinformatics is critical for modeling and analyzing complex environmental health data that is pivotal to her research. She adeptly utilizes major bioinformatics databases and tools to further her research goals.
 
Eirini completed her Master’s degree in Health Biology at the University of Angers in France and has further educational experiences in Canada. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Life Science from the University of Poitiers in France.
