    Graduate School Internship Application

    Welcome to The Cyprus Institute (CyI) Graduate School online application for both the Summer Internship Program and the Year-Round Internship Program. Candidates who wish to apply for either program must complete this online application form.  For more information about each program option, please find the relevant webpage on our website.

    Instructions:

    Before going through the application procedure, please make sure you have read the application requirements.

    This is a one-off procedure, thus the information provided must be the final. You will not be able to save and edit your application at a future stage, therefore it is best to have all documents ready before beginning the application.

    During the application procedure you will be asked to upload the documents listed below. These documents should be named in a recognisable way e.g. Maria Antoniou CV, Maria Antoniou Bachelors Transcript, Maria Antoniou IELTS Score Report etc. Each file must be no more than 5MB in size and the total size of all files uploaded must be no greater than 8MB.

    • - Academic Degree Transcripts (official copy)
    • - English Language certificates e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, GCSE / IGCSE etc., or verification from your university that the language of instruction of your degree program was English. If you have not taken any tests demonstrating English Language Proficiency and you have not studied/are not studying at an English medium institution, please state this in the relevant section of the application.

    On the online application, you will need to write a 300 word statement justifying your choice of project selected by stating why your background and qualifications are a good match for the project you are applying for. You should have your statement prepared before you fill out the application so that you can copy and paste it into the application before the system times out. Please note that you will be assigned to one project.

    Upon submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation email including a summary of your application. If you do not receive a confirmation, please make sure you check your junk mail folder.

    Step 3 - Period of Internship

    Summer Internship Program
    If you are applying for the Summer Internship Program, the program duration should be 8 weeks (unless the project specifies otherwise). Please select the start date and end dates as specified by the project you have selected. If the project has flexible dates, please make sure you stay within the date ranges as specified by the project.

    Year-Round Internship Program
    The Year-Round Programs can have a duration of up to 6 months. Please select your preferred start and end dates up to a maximum duration of 6 months if you are applying for the Year-Round Internship Program.

    Step 7 - Financial Aid

    Summer Internship Program
    The Summer Internship Program focuses on providing students with a unique training experience through bespoke projects related to applicant’s field of study and research interests thus are not considered to be job placements and do not come with compensation.  However, a few of the projects may offer a limited stipend based on merit. If you are applying for the Summer Internship Program you may see each project for details to find out whether any financial aid is available.  If you would like to be considered for funding please provide a justification in the box below.

    Year-Round Internship Program
    If you are applying for the Year-Round Internship Program, availability of funding is not listed on the website and depends on the particular project that you will be working under, hence please answer the question below stating whether you need financial aid.  And if you would like to be considered for aid, provide a justification in the box below.

    Step 8 - Internship Project
    Summer Internship applicants must select one of the two options below.

    Students applying for the Year-Round Internship must select number 2 below and propose their own project.

    2. Propose their own project (which may be accommodated, provided that The Cyprus Institute has the supervisory capacity and facilities to accommodate the request).
